Question 1

What is Brain Flex?

Accepted Answer

Brain Flex is an online cognitive IQ assessment from Atlas Labs LLC. It measures reasoning across five areas and produces an estimated IQ score for recreational and informational use.

Question 2

How many questions are on the IQ test?

Accepted Answer

A standard Brain Flex assessment has 50 questions, with roughly equal coverage across five reasoning categories.

Question 3

How long does it take?

Accepted Answer

Most people finish in about 25–30 min. There is no reward for rushing; response times are recorded but the assessment is not a speed contest.

Question 4

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

One complete IQ assessment is a one-time Apple In-App Purchase in the iOS app ($4.99 before store localization). Brain Flex Vault is a separate optional monthly subscription, also purchased in the iOS app, and does not include IQ tests. This website does not sell either product.

Question 5

Is Brain Flex free to download?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Creating an account and exploring the app is free. A scored IQ assessment and Vault are purchased in the iOS app.

Question 6

Is the IQ score official?

Accepted Answer

No. Brain Flex produces an estimated IQ-style score using its own methodology. It is not a professionally administered or clinically validated IQ examination.

Question 7

How is my score calculated?

Accepted Answer

Correctness and question difficulty feed one overall Estimated IQ Score on a familiar reference scale centered near 100, plus a category profile. Exact proprietary weights are not published.

Question 8

Does age affect my score?

Accepted Answer

Brain Flex is for adults 18+. Date of birth is used for eligibility and age-band research. Current scoring does not apply age normalization — your score is not adjusted up or down because of age.

Question 9

What does Brain Flex measure?

Accepted Answer

Reasoning performance across Pattern, Logical, Numerical, Spatial, and Verbal categories — not trivia, advanced school math, or obscure vocabulary.

Question 10

Can I retake the test?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each complete assessment requires its own $4.99 purchase (or gift credit). Retakes are new attempts with their own question sets when the bank allows.

Question 11

Will I get the same questions again?

Accepted Answer

Generally no. Selection prefers items you have not seen. A given attempt’s question set is frozen once created, so resuming shows the same test.

Question 12

What is Brain Flex Vault?

Accepted Answer

Brain Flex Vault is an optional $4.99/month subscription for short logic games (Sequence Breaker, Logic Grid, and Codebreaker). It is separate from the IQ assessment.

Question 13

Does Vault include IQ tests?

Accepted Answer

No. Vault never grants IQ assessment credits, and buying an IQ assessment does not unlock Vault.

Question 14

How much is Vault?

Accepted Answer

Vault is an auto-renewable monthly subscription purchased in the iOS app through Apple In-App Purchase. This website does not sell Vault.

Question 15

Can I cancel Vault?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cancel anytime in your Apple Account subscription settings. If you subscribed before purchases moved to Apple, an existing web subscription can still be managed from Vault. Access typically continues through the paid period end.

Question 16

Can I challenge friends?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After a result you can share a score card and send a challenge link. Friends take their own assessment. Your email and private details stay private.

Question 17

Can I gift someone a test?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can gift a one-time IQ assessment purchase. The recipient claims the gift and uses the credit for their own assessment. Gift purchases do not unlock Vault.

Question 18

Can I use Brain Flex on web and iPhone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Brain Flex runs on the web and as an iPhone app. New digital purchases are completed in the iOS app through Apple In-App Purchase.

Question 19

How is my data protected?

Accepted Answer

Account, assessment, and purchase data are stored with access controls and shared with processors only as needed to run the service (for example payments and hosting). See the Privacy Policy.

Question 20

Can I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can delete your account from account settings, which removes your profile and associated assessment data subject to records we must keep for accounting or legal reasons.

Question 21

Do I need a subscription to take the IQ test?

Accepted Answer

No. The IQ assessment is a one-time $4.99 purchase. Vault is an optional separate subscription and is not required for the IQ test.

Question 22

What happens if I close the app during a test?

Accepted Answer

Your progress is saved. Closing the app, losing connection, or switching devices does not consume another credit — you resume the same frozen question set.
